Making Music Again
Music
Music has always been a part of my life… From the early days of learning keyboard at the music shop in my home town, to drums as part of my GCSE Music course, then self teaching guitar and bass, performing in bands, then eventually composing my own music and producing for other artists.
Back in UK, before moving to Japan, I had a modest but very effective home studio. With various pieces of equipment, a powerful PC and software, a rack of guitars, I was constantly busy writing, refining, producing and releasing music.
Life Changes
As part of my preparations for moving to Japan, I sold most of my gear and switched out my PC for a MacBook Pro M3 Pro. Realizing that moving to Japan meant compromising on the quantity of gear, I focused on quality.
Tokyo living is often very restricting when it comes to space, and for the first two years of my life here, I didn’t really have the space to be creative.
However, now I do have a creative space, so it’s time to get back into it again!
Re-Releasing
I have re-released an album of my existing music under the name MIREWELL, currently only on Bandcamp. I intend to distribute onto the major streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music very soon. For now though, you can listen to my music for free on Bandcamp!
New Music
I am in the process of finalizing a second album for MIREWELL and working a couple of other projects I hope to get moving soon after.
